Agreement Notice
These website terms are written for clarity and recordkeeping. They are not a substitute for a signed lawyer-reviewed contract. Project-specific terms may also be confirmed in writing by email, invoice, proposal, or a project agreement preview.
Services and Scope
SapienHQ provides static website design, front-end development, basic search setup, mobile layout work, launch support, and related support as agreed in writing.
Unless added in writing, the standard website package does not include ecommerce, backend software, custom booking systems, paid advertising, logo design, legal compliance review, accessibility audits, advanced SEO campaigns, copywriting from scratch, domain fees, hosting fees, or ongoing maintenance.
Project Agreement Preview
Before production begins, SapienHQ may provide a written project agreement preview that lists the planned pages, deliverables, timeline, payment terms, revision expectations, domain or hosting responsibilities, and excluded items. Written approval or payment of the start payment confirms acceptance of the stated project terms.
Pricing and Payments
The standard website package is $80 total, paid in two installments. A $40 start payment is required to begin production, reserve project time, and cover planning, setup, design, and early build work. When the website is done, the remaining $40 is due before the finished website is delivered, transferred, launched, or released.
You do not pay the full project amount before seeing the completed work. Any larger custom scope, extra pages, new features, or post-launch work must be discussed and approved in writing before extra fees are added.
Delivery
A project is considered done when the agreed pages, mobile layout, basic SEO setup, and launch-ready files are completed for review. Final delivery, file transfer, launch, or domain connection happens after the remaining balance is paid.
If feedback, content, account access, or approval is delayed, the project timeline may pause until the needed information is received.
Revisions
Reasonable revisions are included before final delivery when they relate to the agreed scope. Revisions include normal text edits, image swaps, layout adjustments, and small design refinements.
New pages, new features, large content rewrites, new branding directions, integrations, or requests outside the approved scope may require an updated quote or written approval before work continues.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate business details, rights-cleared assets, timely feedback, domain or hosting access when needed, and any required approvals. Clients are also responsible for registering, renewing, and maintaining their own domain name, hosting account, third-party tools, business licenses, and business content.
Ownership
After final payment is received, the finished website files are delivered to the client. Clients keep ownership of content, photos, logos, and other materials they provide. SapienHQ keeps ownership of pre-existing tools, reusable code patterns, templates, know-how, and general development methods that were not created exclusively for the client.
Records and Chargebacks
Clients agree that payments are authorized when they approve a project in writing, submit a start payment, or pay an invoice. SapienHQ may keep records of inquiries, scope approval, invoices, payment status, emails, messages, form submissions, review links, screenshots, delivery notes, and refund decisions for project administration, accounting, taxes, legal compliance, dispute response, and chargeback defense.
If there is a billing issue, clients should contact SapienHQ@gmail.com before filing a payment dispute so the issue can be reviewed directly. SapienHQ may contest inaccurate disputes or chargebacks using the written records available.
Refunds and Cancellations
The first $40 start payment is once production begins because it reserves time and covers planning, setup, design, and early build work. If a client cancels after production begins, SapienHQ may stop work and retain the start payment.
The final $40 is due only when the website is done and before the finished website is delivered. Refund decisions for any other payments are handled according to the written scope, project status, and work already completed.
Third-Party Services
Domains, hosting platforms, payment processors, forms, analytics tools, email services, and other third-party services are controlled by their own providers. SapienHQ is not responsible for third-party outages, pricing changes, account restrictions, policy changes, or renewal fees.
No Guaranteed Results
SapienHQ works to create a clear, fast, professional website, but no specific search ranking, traffic volume, lead count, revenue amount, or business result is guaranteed.
Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, SapienHQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages. SapienHQ's total liability for a project is limited to the amount paid to SapienHQ for that project.
Changes to These Terms
SapienHQ may update these terms as the business changes. The effective date above shows when this page was last updated. The terms in effect when a project is approved generally apply to that project unless both sides agree otherwise in writing.
